New to Ski Racing?
Everyone has to start somewhere!
Many of our aspiring ISIA Speed Test or Eurotest candidates may have all the experience in the world when it comes to skiing, but have never spent any time in the gates before. This is completely normal and as far as we are concerned, actually pretty exciting!
One of our core beliefs at MM Race is that in order to be the fastest and the most technically accurate in Giant Slalom, you need to race and better yet, be comfortable with racing. This means not just training, but physically going to races and experiencing those race day nerves and the adrenaline that this comes with. So that when you eventually stand in the start gate of your Eurotest or ISIA Speed Test, you will be as ready as you can be. It will just be another race at that point.
This means that our coaches encourage participants to attend Fédération Française de Ski (FFS) club level races, or local weekly races here in Val d'Isere in order to gain that valuable race day experience. This paired alongside lap coaching and timed runs training on the Stade will prepare you for the best chances of success.
We will also give you tools to prepare outside of your training sessions, this means everything from fitness, to ski tuning. We can provide expert advice as at this level, having your equipment in peak condition and being in your best physical condition becomes even more important.
We have got you covered down to the finest detail.
